Tashera gave birth to their four children Xavier, Tocoma, Praise Mary Ella, and Shawn.

This marriage ended when Tashera declared their separation in 2010.

The reason behind this separation was DMX’s extramarital affairs.

Through DNA testing it was confirmed that he became the father of two children as a result of these affairs.

It was also proved through DNA testing that he was the father of Monique Wayne’s son and the court ordered him to pay $1.5 million to her.

DMX is the father of 17 children.

His girlfriend Desiree Lindstrom gave birth to his youngest child on August 16, 2016.

He was spotted unconscious in the Ramada Inn parking lot in Yonkers in 2016.

He was rushed to the hospital and DMX claimed that the cause of his state was an asthma attack but a witness stated that he took some substance before going unconscious.

The police searched the property but no illegal substance was found there.

In April 2021 he went into a coma because of a drug overdose and on April 9, 2021, he died of a heart attack.

Financial and Legal Disputes

DMX went to prison several times for various reasons including animal cruelty, resisting arrest, unlicensed driving, reckless driving, identity falsification, and drug possession.

DMX declared bankruptcy in 2013 and declared that his assets were worth $50,000 whereas his liabilities were worth between $1 million to $10 million.

His attorney stated that restrictions on his passport should be lifted so that he can perform overseas to earn enough.

But this request was dismissed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.

In 2017 he was accused of tax fraud and was punished in prison for one year.

He was out of prison in January 2019 but he still had to pay $2.3 million to the IRS at that time.

The government is still receiving monthly installments from his income to clear the debt.
