Gordon Ryan was born on July 8, 1995, in Monroe Township, New Jersey. 

He is a very talented grappler who specializes in the no-submission grappling technique. 

He began his training for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 15 under Miguel Benitez later switching to trainers like Tom DeBlass, John Danaher, and Garry Tonon.

Gordon Ryan grew up with his brother Nicky Ryan who is also a renowned grappler and a BJJ athlete and competitor. 

Career 

While he held a brown belt for 6 months he won many tournaments like Newaza Challenge and the World Championship. 

With his excelling performance, Ryan managed his promotion to black belt. 

He was awarded the black belt by his coach Garry Tonon in February 2016 in a ceremony.
